Just Built a Bamboo Road Bike - Pictures Included

Just joining the site to talk about and learn more about bike building. I just built my first frame out of bamboo, and though it worked out great, I still have lots to learn for round 2

Hey. I've built 4 bamboo frames.
Yours looks fantastic. Post in the Framebuilder's section. There is a fellow there, canaboo, that also builds in bamboo. His frames are beautiful.

Sweet looking, although the seat looks a little uncomfortable.

Yea the seat pokes a little bit haha. Still waiting on some shifters to arrive, and a few more little things to add. But this is more or less the idea.

I put a light gel coat on, but then i wanted to go darker so I sanded it down and gelled it a darker coat.

The joints are wrapped in hem,p fiber and resin, then sanded down. Here's a link to my process: https://www.cameronbrown.ca/blog/2013/01/how-to-build-a-bamboo-bike-part-1-plannin-things-n-fetchin-stuff/
