Hi from Evansville,IN
Hi,
Been biking for awhile, joined forum because I'll have some questions on a couple of builds/restores I'm working on:
Centurion Turbo, building it up with full Sante, frame and parts in great condition...wanted a red and white Ironman, but got a smoking deal on this frame/fork and really like the chrome touches.
Guerciotti, full pantographed SR (restoring)...the rust spots on the chrome fork are giving me fits, open to suggestions. Bike is pretty much original with the ti enhanced SR parts. Hoops were changed to clinchers at some point and the lightweight SR freewheel was replaced by a Regina CX. Paint isn't horrible and still holds a shine, but there are some chips out of it.
Have a pretty big stable, mainly MTBs from my time out west. Starting to build up a decent collection of steel frame road bikes, I like the ride of steel and at 50 years old an extra pound or two on the frame isn't going to have an impact on my enjoyment...get more use out of them than the MTBs here in Indiana. The rest of rides:
road:
mid-90s Dean ti
99 Waterford RS-22 (my favorite)
Merckx Corsa '01
mountain:
07 Yeti ASR SL
01 Santa Cruz Superlight
06 Monument hardtail, SS, green ano. (small defunct frame builder from C. Springs)
93 KHS Montana Pro FZ hardtail, SS (my first racing rig, will probably never get rid of it)
97 Rockhopper Comp hardtail, Steel
01 Sibex hardtail, Ti
00 Homegrown Factory XT hardtail, Black ano.
98 Homegrown Factory XT hardtail, Bass Boat blue!
