Reporting from Beijing
Hi! I'm based in Beijing, and I commute to work (20km one way) on my Merida hybrid. It's not nearly as sexy or light or fancy as I might like it to be, but it gets the job done.
I've only just started riding in the last six months. Before this, I lived in another city in China (that you've probably never heard of) where my commute was only about 5 km round trip.
I'm here because I have found that I love being on my bike. When I had a cold and could barely finish a sentence without coughing, the most annoying thing was not being able to ride to work. Last month I was in Thailand for a holiday and the highlight of my trip was renting a bike and riding around the island.
