145 Hurricane free days and counting...
Hello,
I'm from the St. Pete/Tampa Florida area. I've been cycling off and on since I was in my teens, I'm 40 now. My first "real" road bikes were a Fuji LeTour and Peugeot Profile II (I think). I then switched to a Schwinn Crisscross hybrid. Recently, I wanted to upgrade my rides so I got a '03 Trek 7500FX hybrid and a '04 LeMond Zurich. The weather is great. Let's just keep the freakin' hurricanes away this summer. Hope to see you out there.

So glad to hear the weather is good. We are moving down there next month from New Hampshire.
I am sure the hurricanes were miserable. So is the snow and ice. I will be living in St Petersburg, sort of close to the Gandy Bridge.
See you sometime.

Great! You'll be coming down before it gets incredibly hot. This is about the best time of year to be here. You can check out the Pinellas trail after you settle in. It is a paved (rail to trail route) bike/pedestrian path that runs north - south through almost the whole county. I grew up in the old North East section of St. Petersburg and there are some great places to ride in those neighborhoods as well.
