What's up from ND, soon to be DC

Hello! My name is Jake, I'm 22 and I've started getting into biking within the last two years. I rode 12yrs on dirtbikes, racing moto and harescrambles than had a good crash that resulted in some serious head injuries. So I decided to do away with it and pick up another 2 wheel hobby: biking. I get more enjoyment pedaling than I ever figured I would.

My stable includes
Sunn Seasons hardtail 26er
Santa Cruz Nomad MK1.5
Surly Pugsley
Giant framed low-budget singlespeed

Im moving to Washington DC in the next few weeks for a year and I'd love to meet some people out there to show me some good riding spots. Look forward to everything the forum has to answer!

Hi Jake, from an old MX and HS racer, welcome to BF. The Southeast Regional Forum covers the DC area usually visit there and see who wants to set up rides and other cycling activities if you'd like. Cycling is definitely addictive as most here will attest. Glad to have you with us.

Thanks for the welcome, Bill! Addictive it is. I've been having withdrawals for the past month as I've spent all that time in the deserts of Ft. Bliss, TX.

Hey welcome to Bike Forums!! We've got a great mountain biking section as well as a really cool regional area. You might want to check the regionals to see if people are having group runs in your area! So easy to just throw the bike in the back of a truck *wink* and go wherever to places that you can't reach with a car.
