New guy from Northern Nevada
Hello all,
My name is Terry. I live in Northern Nevada. It is very rural here. Lake Tahoe is 15 miles from here. I am 53 and have always wanted to commute to work. I bought a mid 90's Trek mountain bike from a guy for 65 dollars. I have cleaned it up a lot. It still has some issues like I need to replace my cables because it does not always shift clean. None of the little issues stop me from riding. My commute is around 7 miles each way. My ride is both pavement as well as dirt roads. I know that I drive my wife a little nuts because I am really into my bike. I have time to do this kind of thing now that my Daughters are both in collage. I look forward to learning much more about my new hobby from your site.
Thank You
Terry

Hello Terry, great to have you join in here at BF. You should drop in at the 50+ Forum and check us out there, its a great group of folks that love cycling. Two other forums you might enjoy are the Mechanics Forum for those issues you are tackling on your bike and the Commuting Forum, for joining in with others that enjoy using their bikes to get to and fro. I believe we all drive our wives a bit nuts and the ladies here probably drive their husbands/boyfriends nuts as well. make your self at home.
