Greetings from New Mexico!

I joined this forum a few weeks ago and have been lurking for months! I have always had cheap department store bikes for the past seven or eight years and recently made a life change. I quit smoking and used the money I no longer was spending on cigarettes to stash away for a brand spanking new higher quality bicycle. I decided on a Felt Six 80 because I live on dirt roads on the outskirts of town. I have been smoke free for 71 days! I am happy to be a part of this great community!

Welcome to BF and congrats on quitting tobacco! If you don't go back to it, that move will turn out to be one of the most important things you'll ever do in your entire life. Stick with your decision. As just the first consequence of that move -- if cigarettes cost as much where you live as they do where I live, 71 days without tobacco expenses is equal to the price of a nice first bike. Maybe not the fanciest bike in the world, but still universes beyond the quality level of those bottom-end dept store bikes. So -- every time you go for a ride on your new bike, reflect on the enjoyment and health benefits of the ride as contrasted with smoking a couple cigarettes. Enjoy the new bike!

Thank you! I am having a blast on it! I wish I didn't have to work so I could spend even more time on it!

Welcome to Bike Forums. Felt makes some awesome bikes. I love my Felt Z4.
