Hello All from Wild Wales over the pond
Hello All,
Welcome from Wild Wales over the pond.
Getting back into it all again after a couple of years off due to health issues, all sorted now, cross fingers and now need to lose weight and get fit, so an incentive was needed.
Got the big 60 next year too, used to mountain bike and do the odd Europe tour for charity but calmed down now.
My main bike is a modified Kona Hoss, with rigid forks (that's right!) flat pedals and skinny tyres set up for light trails and road use, and yes it's twitchy
I've also become fascinated with folding bikes, so I've a second hand Dawes Jack en route to me which I'll probably tinker with and upgrade as long as the frame is good.
Well I think that's enough, don't want to bore you all with my first post on here.
Looking forward to some interesting chat to get me motivated again.
All the best for now.
Beic

Welcome from Illinois, USA. I've spent a weekend in Wales at a farm B&B around 1991. Can't for the life of me remember the name of the place but it was near the Irish Sea and we drove on the A40 to get there. I was stationed with the US Air Force near Oxford at the time.

Hi Jerry,
The A40 passes through my area, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
I expect you stayed in Pembrokeshire or Ceredigion on the west Wales coast close to the sea.
