Hello from Australia's Blue Mountains
I've just joined this forum because I want to start cycling again, for health and weight loss reasons, after an absence of 20 years from the saddle.
I'm an elderly codger, though not in my dotage, and would like to become more active again. I have balance and weight issues.
I live in a very hilly area - the Blue Mountains of NSW, Australia. At least until I "get up to speed" I am going to have to stick to my immediate neighbourhood (which could get boring), or transport the bike or trike to other suitable riding areas to see the sights.
Thanks, Rob

There is nothing wrong with putting your bike/trike in a vehicle and driving to a flatter location.
I hope you guys up there are recovering OK from the fires. I went through the Victorian ones in 2009... lost the place I lived in, along with a lot of other stuff, but I saved the bicycling gear!
Now moved back to my home city, Hobart.

Thanks Lacumo and Rowan.
Yes, Rowan, I agree there's nothing wrong in principle with transporting a trike by car, but the cost of getting a suitable trailer or hitch adds a considerable deal to the cost. For the time being the fires have died down - though still not out. We lost over 200 houses in our area, but we were among the lucky ones.
