Another Southern Californian

Just found this forum. Dug around for about an hour and decided to join in. Lots of good information here.

I've Been riding off and on for about 15 years. New York native (born and raised in Poughkeepsie, College in West Virginia. Art School in Pittsburgh, Settled on Long Island (Sound Beach) for 5 years before moving to California, and working as an advertising art director.

Try to get in 20-30 miles per day, 40 - 50 miles on weekends. I don't need to dress like an italiano or own an expensive bike. I get along just fine with a 3 year old Specialized Allez with off the shelf parts.

I'm also very involved with rowing and sailing.

Welcome!

That eye is freakin' me out!

It's nice to live in a place with great weather for year round cycling. I'm glad you're taking advantage of it! (said as I stare outside watching the snow flakes falling).

I also just joined this forum, after reading it at work all week (don't tell the boss). I hope this can count as my introduction, as well. I've never heard of these ocrebels, are they a motorcycle gang? Rockets: if you're in Orange County, I'd highly recommend the Bicycle Club of Irvine. Long Island? I hear they have a Shields Fleet there...

My wife is going to kill me soon.
