I'm a full time student at the Columbus College of Art and Design...My longest day spans from 8am to 9:30pm full of classes! So after sitting all day trying to stay awake at school, I come home and sit and work on my homework for hours. I work on the weekends at a bank processing checks, where i sit for 10 hours in a cubicle! Three days a week it's off to my internship at the local tv station doing internet advertising where i sit in yet another cubicle...With so much going on when I get home I just want to sit and relax, playing computer games or watching the tube....
Translation? I SIT AROUND WAY TOO MUCH! I'm afraid I'm going to start gaining weight at an exponential rate if I don't get some sort of exercize...but I have so little time! I decided to look into biking as something to do for exercise and maybe on my days off, seeing as how we have lots of bike trails where i live all throughout town, and i thought a stationary trainer would be perfect for my hectic times or during bad weather when i just can't get out of the house to save my life...
hopefully you guys can get me set on the right track seeing as how i'm totally new to this. I own a bike, so at least that must count for something...right?

Welcome to the forums. There are others form the columbus area that post on these forums. Perhaps you could hook up with one of them for a ride. Any chance you could become a bike commuter? You could combine your cycling with your transprtation needs. You would get the physical exercise you need.
