Hello from Utah
40yrs old, been doing the mountain bike thing off and on. just got a 2013 felt z85 and just committed to a century ride in July.

I love the speed of a road bike, and can’t believe how light the road bikes are. The biggest thing for me is riding in traffic, I'm sure I’ll adapt just fine in due time over all it's great.

Riding is traffic makes me a lot more nervous than on the trail so I hear ya. But after a while, you just tune out the fear and you'll be okay.

Nice! I grew up in Pennsylvania, so Cannondales were THE bike to have. (C'dale used to have a factory in Bedford, PA). I never owned one, but I used to lust over someone's Jekyll in college (and this was before I even started mountain biking).
