Newbie in Idaho.
I'm new. New to the forum, new to Idaho, new. It feels good to say new, since at 41 my bod feels so old. I'm a die hard mountain biker but had my first foray to road biking on a cross country bike ride from San Diego to Philly in the summer of 2003. Now I'm planning a 12,000 mile US Perimeter Tour in the summer of 2006 and am in the middle of building up my ideal touring bike and selling most of my others to make the trip happen. Glad to see there's a place where we can all get together and share info and opinions about biking. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Welcome to Idaho. There are two guidebooks for the McCall area available, one for the road and one for the trails. There is also a race at the new Tamarack ski area later in the year.

Thanks, I got up here in late August, just in time to take a few runs at Brundage and had a great time. I also bought the book "Biking and Hiking in McCall" and can't wait to try out the mountain biking. I won't be doing much by road up here, there just doesn't seem to be much room for biking on the road here.
