New from Long Island NY

Hi just joined complete newbie.

I don't even own a bike at present but have friends in the UK that race.

I will be using my bike for fitness and fun and some nice long rides.

I will be using this forum to help guide me as I need advice on which bike to choose...

I am looking for a bike that will do Road and Trail... nothing too serious so dry trails and not mountainous more woodland..

Looking at the Sirrus, Crosstrail, Trek Domane, Niner RLT also read the Moots Psychlo X is a good all rounder but prob too much for what i want...

So as newbie which forum thread would this kind of question go into. I will start a new thread once i know

Thanks!

Welcome to Bike Forums. Most road bikes don't do dirt/grass trails very well. Maybe you want a cyclocross bike or a hybrid.
Ask in the Road Cycling forum or the General Cycling forum.

Welcome to BF and +1 on the cyclocross or hybrid thought. Be careful down there on LI, too. I used to live in Suffolk County and the environment down there these days can be dangerous when you’re on a bike...
