Hello from South Carolina
Hello, everybody. I just got into this gig and I'm in deep(I'm also dragging my wife down with me
). We purchased some cheap bikes from Wal-Mart and immediately took them back because we wanted something more. My uncle heard we were getting into it and offered his 30 year old Trek road bike as a fill-in until I purchased my own. I finally found one I liked(a 2013 Norco Indie Drop 2) and my wife purchased a Felt entry-level road bike. We're having a blast so far and we are already contemplating our next bikes. Glad to be here!

Welcome to BF, and to cycling I suppose. Watch out for the trolls and the cagers, and enjoy the ride.
IIRC, I rode into SC briefly while en route from Greensboro NC to Sunset Beach NC. The half-mile or so I saw seems quite pleasant, if a bit warm.
