Big Boy Biker needs help
Hello all,
I'm 6'3 380 lbs down from 490 thanks to riding an old Schwinn Stationary. Recently I starting riding a hard tail someone gave me but its a size Small frame, so my hands go to sleep after 20 mins. I have $400 to buy a single speed rigid and I like the looks of bikesdirect's Gravity 27five SS, and Vitus bikes Dee 1-26. Any advice on which bike would handle a beating better will be greatly appreciated! The Vitus has five year warranty on the frame and fork the gravity is a 1 year. Thanks for any help.
Big Jon

Welcome BigBober. I am also fairly new to these forums. In my opinion the best and most important thing for us over three hundred pounders is to learn to measure and fit yourself properly to a bike before buying one. Lots of info in these subforums. Most all mainstream bike brands will hold up to your weight just fine as long as you are not overly abusive. Good luck!.

Hey Big Jon,
Welcome to BF. You should cross-post your question to the Clydesdales/Athenas forum. The big guys there can give lots of good advice about bikes that work for, well, big guys.
Good hunting!
