Hello from Atlanta

Hi Guys,

I'm Danny from Atlanta, Ga. 29 years old, married, with a bunch of furry kids! I have ridden bikes for most of my life. I raced BMX all around the country from age 12-21. Dabbled with some MTB, and have been doing some recreational riding on the road for the last couple of years on a hybrid. Looking to step up to a legit road bike very soon. I've lurked around on this site for years, finally decided to properly join in!

Please help me decide on which bike to buy!!

Hey Danny,

Welcome to Bike Forums from a Texas road rider.

Get the bike that talks to you.

This one did and we enjoyed 39,000 miles.

Welcome Danny. Not sure what part of town you're in but you might want to think about checking out the bikes at Intown Bicycles. I bought bikes from them and worked there for 3 years before I finally retired to Florida.
Mike (the owner), Rita, or Amy (or any of the others there) can help you find the right bike. If you stop by tell them Ron sent you in.
Good luck.

Intown is where I'm thinking about purchasing a Jamis Quest Sport. Test rode one there just yesterday. I live in Decatur, but used to live in L5P/Candler Park, so I still frequent those areas as much as possible! If I decide on the Jamis I'll definitely mention your name!

What are my chances of Mike giving me a cash discount or knocking off the tax since I'm looking at a 2014 model?

He might throw in something but most bike shops are small mom-n-pop type businesses. You can ask but I don't know what he'll tell you.
