Bikes: Lots
One car family in Seattle, in a rather stretched out neighborhood. I'll walk or bike when possible. In Reims, we do not have a car. That city is definitely walkable, as usual for an old French city, and has an excellent system of buses and trams if walking isn't enough.

One car, with aspirations for none. I recently moved to the downtown area of Bellingham, WA, which has great biking infrastructure. My car sits most of the time. Hope to sell it and buy another bike.

Didn't use the car for 1 1/2 months due to mechanical issue that I refused to spend money on. Rented a car once during that time for a short weekend trip. I found this to be extremely liberating. Then finally got it fixed and over the course of a couple of weeks was using it for small trips here and there and neglecting the bike. Even without fuel cost, I spend nearly $500 a month for car payment and insurance - seems like such a waste in a town with good bike infrastructure. Given recent events (tariffs), this might be a good time to sell.

If I lived in a city I would seriously consider ditching the car. When you factor in the cost of a car even a fairly cheap reliable used car it's a fair amount of money, then there is maintenance and insurance and yes gas. Unfortunately I live on the edge of the boon docks nothing is close to me but gas stations and I don't want to live in the city. But the good news is I have miles and miles of roads I can ride with very lite traffic and the vehicles I do come in contact with are non threatening almost always. But car free is not an option for me the milk would be 98 degrees when I get it home in the summer.
