Sick and have to catch ride in a car
I don't know what in the world has hit me like a ton of bricks; I haven't been able to keep anything down not even water. I walked a block to the convenient store only to find myself getting dizzy and hurling the water I just drank. I had to get the roommate to take me to the store to get some sports drink in his car, and just about past out again and more hurling. If I can’t continue to hold anything down I need to go to the doctor and mom said she will take me to the doctor tomorrow if needed. So bummed, there is no way I am taking a bus with my stomach so uneasy I can already picture that scenario. I can hardly walk from one room to the next without feeling dizzy.

Sorry to hear this. Many people cite this very situation as the reason why they can't go car-free. But we don't live in a car-free vacuum. That is what friends, taxi's, or ambulances are for.
I think if I were as sick as you describe I'd head to the emergency room. Have you at least checked in with the doc**********
Try to get some fluids in you - don't want your electrolytes to get all out of whack and result in further complications. Have you eaten something funky? Maybe its food poisoning.

Maybe try some soup in a little bit.

P.S., I bet you were already pretty dehydrated from your ride. The rain may have masked just how much you were sweating. Then this thing piles on.
If it is food poisoning the good thing is that it goes as quickly as it comes on.

I hope you feel better, but this is no situation for a car: A sick person, dizzy, and vomiting.

Well then, since you failed so miserably I guess we'll just have to strip you of the coveted 'carfree' status and downgrade you to the lesser 'car-lite' category, don't push it or we'll throw you out alltogether..... just kidding
Don't worry about the car thing, what's the big deal? you need a ride, you get a ride, just look after yourself and get better. Okay?

If it only lasted 24 to 48 hours it might have been a Norovirus. Especially if other people in your area had it. If so, it probably was from contact with a sick person and not food-borne, although a lot of times it's picked up in a restaturant. Your doctor couldn't have helped much if that's what it was.

We had two outbreaks at work. I was one of the lucky few who didn't get sick. I wondered if all the exercise I get strengthens my immune system. Also, I washed my hands a lot. But probably it was mostly luck!
