sold my car
finally got around to it after a lot of talk. it's been parked for longer and longer stretches and fired up just to make sure it still works. well as of yesterday it moved on.
all that's left
but handsomely compensated
lots more of this in my future!

My son wanted to borrow my car yesterday. I hadn't used it in weeks, but had been clinging to it. I finally said sure, and he swapped his truck - which will definitely sit idle in my driveway.
Installed full fenders today on my city bike, and am ready to face the winter (oh, it gets baaaad here in california!) on my bike.

I just recently gave up my car as well. I haven't missed it really. But there have been a few times when I wanted it to simply run to the grocery store or something like that. Basically, the only time I want it is when I'm cold, lazy, and hungry. Other than, I'm glad I'm saving a little money by not having it.

I'm also from Reading, PA, and I give you major credit for doing such a thing. I am definitely giving up my car when I move to Seattle in a few months, but in this area, I wouldn't even consider it. Again, props to you.

hundreds and fiddys make for a fat wad! didn't want to risk any sort of check clearing issues after reading up a bit on craigslist.
bike is a paris sport. rattlecan repaint in the garage. holding up well enough. more shots here.
been a month now and not regretting it. guess i 'divorced' my car months ago but didn't do anything about it. a garage full of bikes and the right clothes make the transition easy. i just get up in the morning and ride.
