Handlebar bag sewing pattern?

My wife may want to sew me a handlebar bag as a gift.

I have been poking around the web, and found references to a pattern posted to the google "randon" group, but I haven't been able to figure out how to download it. For some reason, my attempt to join that group didn't work.

Here's the kind of reference I am finding.

https://groups.google.com/group/rando...+handlebar+bag

Can someone who has downloaded the pattern tell me how to get it? If you have an electronic copy and would be OK to email it to me, PM me and I will provide an email address.

If this violates any kind of copyright, or it stealing Mr. deRosset's work, please ignore this request.

I'd actually be interested in any GB-25 size handlebar bag sewing pattern. Does anyone know of another?

I have seen a boxy looking handlebar bag pattern from Green Pepper for sale, but I can't tell anything about the size.

Thanks,

Mike

Actually I found some - there were references to some google docs in the following blog. Maybe they are Mr. deRosset's?

As I read farther, those are the patterns that Mr. deRosset posted.

Actually, I wonder if it would be easier to modify some of the military surplus bags from Sportsman's Guide? That would certainly be cheap.

Try a second time to join. My first request was declined.

If this is what you want to make he has a link to where he got the pattern from.

If you're simply looking for "inexpensive", as opposed to something that the wife can sew for you, do a quick eBay search for "handlebar bag". Numerous designs are available for under $20 with and without free shipping and deliverable before Christmas.

The canvas military bags are heavy, not completely waterproof and not as versatile, imho, as the purpose-designed bags. YMMV.
