Uh-oh, see you in the touring forum!

In other news, I think something crawled into my attic and died. Smelly. Tomorrow when it's light out, I'm going to have to get up there and see what's going on. I'm filled with dread. This seems like something my husband should do. Man's work, right?

I see the Tour Divide race in the near future. So passing though your neighbourhood when that happens.

Last two days I replaced two kitchen faucets and installed a reverse osmosis filtration system. Had to Sawzall one of the old faucets off (horrible design).

It's what we do.

I do, and will get back to it when I heal up. Not on the diesel though. Not worth it. The dealer change is $10 more than my cost and I can work in the lobby using their wifi. No brainer.

I no longer change oil. The Ford dealer does it for $16.95, which is less than I can get six quarts of oil and a filter for. He does it as a customer perk; I've got an F150.

I'm having some mild handwringing over Tulsa, specifically Sunday. Unsure which will be the more positive experience, to race the masters B field at dawn-thirty against mostly locals in front of nobody and hopefully get a decent result, or race the masters A just before the marquee event against national level competition in front of big crowds and get murdered. I'm signed up for the A field.

Hi, I'm back...at least for now. Spent five of the last six weeks away from home -- four weeks on business travel and one week on vacation (25th wedding anniversary). I've been on airplanes ten times so far this year and I have another airplane ride to NY (Longuyland) next week for my 40th HS reunion. Made a deal with my bosses to stay home for the month of June (excepting my long weekend in NY), so I have to stuff a bunch of "smart" training and racing into the weeks before the National Senior Games in Minnesota. My wife and I fly out there on July 2nd as her races start on July 4th. My first race is July 8th.

Basically been trying to hold some fitness. I did have my rain bike (single-speed) in Washington (state) and I typically was able to ride twice while I was there each week. Unfortunately they were relatively short rides but with a lot of up and down on a single speed, the rides where reasonably hard.

Weekends have actually been hit and miss. One miss occurred when I was flying back from a week in St. Louis. I got stuck in Chicago because my flight out of St. Louis was really late because of (first) weather and then equipment failure (APU -- fixed -- and then cockpit windshield -- not fixed). I have over 1 million miles with American and this was the first time I ever got stuck someplace. Lucky I guess up until now.

So much other personal stuff going on that it's hard to concentrate on cycling but I am committed to racing National Senior Games. Hope to be fit enough to hang on to Racer Ex's wheel and suck my way to a medal.

That's enough for now.

Fail.

Crashed Saturday. Dumb fire road bit of inattentiveness. Ground like hamburger on the right side. Shoulder to ankle.

Super High Inattentiveness Trauma.

In other news, second house closes next Tuesday. Now I get to move some of my gear to house-sit my former wife's digs, while she spends six weeks in Spain, and some to my new place. When the dust settles, I plan on riding my MTB 100 miles and 17'000+ feet up, and down because.........not sure really. Then Enduro Race#2 on the 21st in Mc Call Idaho on some new, and by all accounts, ripping trails. Enduro Natz still in doubt.

Been tracking everyone's racing results, and just gotta say that we have some impressive athletes on this board....kudos to all!!!
