1:20 at what was supposed to be endurance pace, overall a nice ride. I beat the sunset. The NP for today's ride was exactly the same as for the 30 minutes of tempo I did on the trainer last night; last night was a challenge, today was just a nice ride even though 50 minutes longer.

First night of the three month long bike trainer class. It's good to suffer in a group setting.

Well, since it's one of your bikes, we know it wasn't from lack of proper maintenance.

1 hour on the trainer at 0530 today, 30 minutes at pace and then 30 minutes of 5 minutes on/off max/min intervals (max is 137 watts, min is 112 watts). I left a HUGE puddle of "perspiration" on the floor! The new LYC operates much better than the old one, it reads and displays faster, and it doesn't lock up. But, it won't read my HR strap - yet. Hmmm. More setup fiddling to do, and I thought I had that thing ready to go for this morning. This one has 5 pages of setup, the old one had 4. I'm sure the answer lies within - somewhere!

I became aware this morning (well, it has been at the back of my consciousness for a a week or so) that I do not feel lactic burn like I used to. It doesn't hurt as much, and it comes up slowly and dissipates fairly quickly. I can sustain higher HR numbers than I once could, too, and HR recovery is fast, like a minute or less. Maybe my fitness is increasing? Maybe?

Hermes, that derailleur picture makes me cry.

Dusted of the cx bike today for first ride in 2 years. Still feeling a little fatigued, so easy 1.5 hour ride up the canyon fire road. I like adding diversity anytime I can, but I'll just never get cx. Whenever I ride it, it just makes me want to ride my mtb.

New workout at the LBS group trainer ride tonight. Way more fun than CTS. I went out hard since I haven't ridden my bike since last Thursday, and paid the price by dying early on. Just as a https://sufferfest.com workout should be.

Had a quick 3 mi. run yesterday in the rain; still behind in total workouts but happy I'm not dying on any of them yet.

And I realize that by putting those last 8 words out there, I can expect karma or someone else to really kick my patootie.

I had a very bad crash on Nov 4th during a two man TT. There was a big pot hole right after finish line and I hit it as I was transitioning from the extensions to the brakes. I ended up going over bars and landing on my back at 27mph. The bike hit me in the crotch and I tore my urethra along with a ton of road rash and cracked rib. I just got cleared to ride again on Wed so been taking it easy. Today is rainy so I did an hour of Z1 on the rollers.

OMG, that looks awful but the bike hitting the crotch is too much. It sounds like you are healing up.

50 minutes on the trainer this AM (OMG, I am SO ready to get back on the pavement). I rode at pace for 30 minutes followed by 5 intervals, 1 minute max power, 1 minute min power x 5. THAT was tough! I followed that with a spin out, trying for 140 RPM, but only getting (briefly) 136 RPM before the bouncing got too bad to stand it any longer. I need another saddle on that Look!

I still could not get my LYC to read my HR strap, so I called Saris. I found out that I need one their HR straps to work with this LYC. Oh. It will have to wait.

Nice 25 mile ride this morning... chilly - fingers and toes were cold, but it sure felt nice to be back on the road. Looking forward to a sunny weekend too.

Yeah I was lucky not have any spinal damage, tore up left ankle a bit as it didn't unclip, and I got a really nice puncture wound in my right thigh from the brake handle. My bike came away nearly unscathed though only ruined my Ventus base bar. Otherwise not one knick or scratch on the bike.
