SWEET!!! I'll stock the fridges. I foresee some good times ahead.

shovelhd 11-14-12 07:08 AM

I am going to discuss this with Mrs. Shovel this weekend and plan on registering ASAP. I want this one in the calendar.

The schedule I have has the 20K and 40K switched compared to yours. I am doing the road races only.

http://www.nsga.com/cycling.aspx

I am a bit concerned that the state games I qualified in (CT) didn't run their qualifier strictly by the rules. They ran it as consecutive races with no break. Roll off, race, sprint for 20K, race, sprint for 40K. That seems to be against the rules. and would only allow me to do one race. I want to do both races both days. I guess I'll find out when I register. I won them both. I want to race both.

Allegheny Jet 11-14-12 08:11 AM

If I remember correctly if some one qualifies for one race or TT they get entries in both races or TT's at the NSG. I only qualified in the RR's so ill be around to support the time trailers.

I have the same understanding - you are good to go for both RR's, Shovel.

shovelhd 11-14-12 09:01 AM

If they try and lock me out I'll just swipe a jersey from Ex and call myself Colin Burkel.

Allegheny Jet 11-14-12 09:07 AM

shovelhd, your race must have had a “super prime” with qualifying berths given out to the first 4 across the line. That must have been one big bell ringing as you guys came to the line.:D

Just registered. How long is the drive from Cleveland to the Indiana drome?

Around 5 hours.

AzTallRider 11-14-12 11:23 AM

I haven't received the email they promised, but will see if I can register anyway.

Perhaps the 'Out West' contingent should pile its bikes in a van, and share a long cross-country drive?

And that's because Nevada hasn't yet submitted the results!

Well, the Mrs is still a bit less than enthusiastic about going to Cleveland. Our last conversation revolved around flying to Cleveland and how to get my bikes and stuff there. I do admit that a road trip sounds intriguing.

Tour de Velodromes! Colorado Springs -> Boulder -> Chicago -> Cleveland -> Indianaoplis. Could even swing sourthern route home, and hit the Superdrome in Dallas. Rent a big tour bus. Piece of cake!

Allegheny Jet 11-14-12 01:43 PM

Cleave, UPS the bikes to my house. If enough bikes are shipped to my house I just might attempt to mix N+1 in under the radar for myself.

VanceMac, don't forget Detroit on the tour.

We shouldn't expect anything less from the man who brought us this: http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/6272...boomer-version

Most excellent... In fact, my year end bonus is being split between my new road bike (Rodriguez cat 2 perhaps) and some new bling for my lovely wife

I'm planning on heading out with the trailer in tow...sort of a 2013 version of the Grapes of Wrath. Need to get the hot water in the shower working but otherwise it's a pretty comfy rig. Queen size memory foam mattress, digital TV, DVD, AC/heat, microwave, french press...

Two beds. Leaves Socal TBD

sarals 11-14-12 10:01 PM

Of course there will be a video of all of this - and one of those AJ produced cartoons....

Right?

Someone needs to shop the idea for a reality show. :D

Can I call dibs on one of the beds?

It looks great Ex, but it's missing a cabinet to store the Prius once you get there.

My goal would be to travel to races in this G280 with a 3600 mile range cruising at Mach .8.

Only if Sarah is the pilot. I hate flying.

Cleave 11-21-12 03:47 PM

It looks like I'll only be going if I am "forced to retire" before then as my wife's running race is a week before the cycling events. 1-1/2 weeks in Cleveland, not counting transit, won't work if I'm working. If I'm not...

However, I am 99% sure we'll do the Huntsman Games in October 2013.
