Our Huey was nearly run over by a C5. The radio chatter that went along with that was amusing.
We figured they were serving the inflight meal and got distracted.

The C5 would never have felt a thing. There was probably no one in the cockpit. Card game in the back! Or the meal.

I've added the Ridley Dean RS to the list. It's fairly conventional, but for $860 you get the frameset and brakes, and an adjustable seat post. I wonder if it's UCI legal? I know the Dean is.

i bought this. It's a new 2013 Felt B16, 52cm TT bike. Carbon frame, 700c wheels, Ultegra group, wonderful Adamo saddle. It came with a funky FSA crankset, which I had the shop swap for the new Ultegra crankset and BB on the B2 (52 - 39 chain rings). It's going to get the Cosmic Carbones when I get it home. It still needs some minor tweaking on the handlebars, but its oh so much better than my B2 in every way right now! Appropriately, I bought it in bike capitol of California - Davis, at Davis Wheelworks. I'll upload a photo to Race Rigs when I get it home on Tuesday and get the proper wheels on it.
At last, a TT bike I can ride!!!

I had an extensive fit to the B2 and then this one. I spent time riding them both, and then decided on this bike. It's no DA or Shiv or anything truly exotic. It is an honest, up to date, upgradable TT bike that I can actually sit on without screaming in pain and get the power to the ground. I am thrilled!

Thank you, Cleave! It's a little less than I wanted, but it is what I needed. It's worlds apart from the old B2. And I've had a super fitting on it. I'm worlds apart on it. Moving forward!

This will make Ex happy. I now have power on the TT bike. So, can you spot the wired PowerTap? I haven't put the wheel on, but the rest is there. I had a second PT pickup harness, so I can now swap the wheel between the Cannondale and the Felt.
I did my best to keep the wires hidden from the wind. I ran them along the chainstay, under the brake caliper and cable, and then up the spine of the downtube. Black tape hides it nicely.
Finally, so I can use my Garmin, I put it on the top tube.

It's pretty good! I'm sure there is some tweaking to be done, but it's far better than the last time you saw it.

Yay!
It fits the PowerTap OpenPro wheel. Now I can ITT with power. I'll be at least 20 MPH faster. Uphill.

@sarals, very clean installation.
Still trying to figure out how to do power on my TT and track bikes.

I'm pondering an 88mm carbon wheel for the front of the TT bike, to be used with the disk. I have a 20mm (Easton EA90), 53mm (Cosmic Carbone), and I reason an 88 would be good to have in the stable, as well. I should probably get an 88mm rear wheel, too...I can't always use the disk. The issue is the PT hub is on the disk (covered) wheel (Mavic OpenPro). I really don't want to contest that TT bike without power.
Decisions, decisions....

I am afraid (yes, really afraid) to buy an 88mm deep front wheel for my TT bike. My HED 3c is 54mm deep and I have been blown around a couple of times with it. Both were extra scary as both occasions were during TTTs. In theory, the wider, more "blunt" rim profiles are better in crosswinds so I am looking at some knockoff 60mm wheels for my TT bike if or when I switch to clincher tires.
I should add that the tri-spoke design of the HED wheel gives it a lot more sail area than a 54mm wheel would have with regular spokes but still, 88mm on a day with moderate or gusty wind would probably be a handful for someone as light as you.
As for data during a TT, some of my course PRs were done when I forgot my computer or HR strap. Relative Perceived Effort (RPE) is a good thing to "calibrate" in your head because sometimes looking at numbers during a TT just psyches you out.
Of course this is from the guy who didn't have a power meter until 11 months ago.

Darn, AJ, I wish I'd known that last month!
Cleave, gotcha! I'll hold off on the (anything deeper than 53mm) deeper wheels until I get a TT or two under my belt with the disk. I've already smacked the pavement once on that TT bike due to my size and strength. No sense in tempting fate.

The only thing that makes me madder right now is that it's 14*F (feels like 4*F) out; much like your place. I can't ride and the lake ain't stiff enough to fish through.
Thanks for the heads up
