Delmarva Touring
I recently moved from DC to Salisbury, MD and have been looking to plan some routes for touring when the weather is warmer.
Does anyone have any routes used for touring the peninsula?

Check Adventure Cycling’s routes. It may still have one.

Bikes: Motobecane Grand Record, Motobecane Super Mirage (3x5 speeds), Motobecane Mirage, Atala (unknown model), Peugeot mixte frame Tourist. A bunch more kids bikes. Most recently a Trek Verve One, tricked up for semi-serious touring.
Belated welcome to the Forum. I have a beach house in Eastville, VA. There is in progress a bike/running path that goes from [roughly] Onancock to Cape Charles and possibly further to the end of the peninsula. I do not know when it will be completed but suspect that it will get some extensive use. As you probably know, bicycle riders are discouraged on the Bay Bridge Tunnel, specifically due to the two tunnels. But that might be a future destination. There is lots on the DelMarVa to see we love it.

I know it’s an old thread…
I was down there a couple of months ago to ride and camp. A bike shop in Easton MD. had a map of the county showing routes. Other counties also have maps of routes. The American Discovery Trail goes from Lewes DE. to the Bay Bridge.
My club goes down there in May every year but I haven’t been able to go in May. I loved riding there. Flat roads, wide shoulders on busier roads, lightly traveled back roads, drivers who actually moved over away from me. I camped at a state park with the Senior Citizen pass - 1/2 price Sunday to Thursday even for out of state seniors.
I can’t wait to go back down in 2026.
