Virginia creeper mileage question
Does anyone know the mileage from whitetop station to the first trestle on you come to? I think it's trestle #46.

Good info above. As a FYI, if you want to do a longer ride, we went on to Abingdon (where we stayed) and it was a nice 34 mile ride....and we did it on 80's road bikes
Hit the Creeper Trail in Va. yesterday- actually fun

A few years ago my wife and I parked in Abingdon, were shuttled to Whitetop and did the 33 miles to Abingdon. Coming down from Whitetop I was glad for 35mm tires but from Damascus to Abingdon skinny tires would have be fine.
We stayed in Damascus - next time we'd stay in Abingdon, very nice little town.

Rode from up to Whitetop from Damascus and back last Monday. Haven’t ridden it in about 20 years. In pretty rough shape with some muddy spots (recent rain) compared to the last time I rode it. Very crowded with families and people who didn’t look like they had been on a bike in years. Can only imagine how busy it would be on a weekend. On a gravel bike with 38’s no real problems other than the traffic on the way down.
