13K wow!!! You can also call it 20KK. Well done. I guess your lack of beer consumption allows you to attain 13K and keeps me @ 5K(in a good year). Well done Isaias. Now will you please go drink a beer.

@Bob - I think I'll be meeting you at Oregon Ridge, Sunday, via bike. That should get me around 140 miles by the time I get back home.

My plug from bbctalk:
On Again/Off Again. 102 miles. Start at 8AM Sunday, Nov. 8th. Oregon Ridge Park pkng lot
This ride offers a lot of options for a wide range of riders.
The premise of the route is to cover all 40.5 miles of the NCR/Heritage trail in 5 different segments. Each segment is interspersed with moderately hilly road riding that wanders in and out of the Little Gunpowder valley. The 4 crossover points allow for easy shortcuts and "drop-ins".
Full ride is 102.8 miles with lunch in York PA.
Short cuts are 28mi (@ Weisberg rd), 49mi (@ Freeland rd), 66mi (@ Glen Rock) and 82mi (@ Glatfelters). You can easily drop in to the ride at a point different from the start.
(email me so we can look out for you)
The trail is hard-packed and stable, but bumpy. Bring 28mm + tires for comfort, but 25's should be fine as we're never doing more than 10 miles on the trail at one time.
PM me for a cue sheet. Bikely map here: https://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/360827

Good stuff. I'll probably ride up too. Should be a decent group for it. I've gotten a few inquiries from DC Rand and BBC folks.

I had a GB spotting this morning around 8 AM, we were going different directions so all we could do was shout hello as we passed. In my ~10 mile ride through the city this morning I spotted at least one cyclists every mile, I really seeing more cyclists out and about, better yet is even running into people you know.

All I can say is America is f=ed up in the way that we get around. I swear motorists just think we are pests and despite bike advocacy it is an engrained mindset "the car is king, we love them more than anything else" I don't see any cyclists on my way back and forth to the gym. I try to smile at motorists and think good thoughts but I usually want to spit. With that said I do see a fair amount of commuters going down my street. Seriously though, compared to European cities it's a joke. On the upside-I like the feeling of superiority as I ride past dozens of cars at a light.

I stopped in at DD this evening and said hi to some of the locals that hang out there and one asked if he didn't see me on Millford Mill a bit earlier as he saw a guy riding with two red lights on the back of his helmet... GB sighting #2 today.

I am not recording miles this year but my commute is averaging 60-100 miles per week. Rec riding was pretty low this year. No clue on total but doubt it is a PB. maybe next year I'll record. it's harder to record when you have multiple bikes.
I will be at GBs ride tomorrow. Weather looks great. Not certain I will go the distance but will try. I might still have lymes. Strange issues with my body lately. I'll test my fatigue level with this ride. If all goes well I will go on a climbing trip to WVa later this week. I will consider myself cured if I can complete both. Back on drugs if I can't.
Bike commuters; I see a lot of them in the Towson/Mnt. Wash area. Seldom any on the westside.
NR: that inner tube looks interesting. I can see how it will work. I'll buy it if it's cheap enough.

It's one long tube, not circular. Theoretically, it allows you to replace it without having to remove the entire wheel.
** Looking at the picture, again, the tubes shown there have schrader valves, so I wonder if they're planning to make a presta valve version? These were designed for BMX riders.
Here's how they are attached on the ends:

Ah. Got it. It makes me wonder whether the tube would wear through at the overlap from friction. Tubes and tires move a lot. For a short while I tried those Mr. Tuffy tire strips- they would actually cause flats because they would wear through the tube at the overlap. (I suppose the user should either feather the edges or carefully butt-join the ends.)
Oh, and BTW... just what are you doing home and not on the bike?
