Race Bike
Ok, so ive been looking for a race bike lately and decided on a Felt RXC pro https://www.feltracing.com/products/p...8,23,33&pid=34
unfortunately I cannot find a 2007 model. (I was hoping for a good deal). so it looks like I will have to get a 2008 RXC pro. My lbs says they want to give me a good deal with an employee purchase. what are the best ways to get a good deal on a new model? how much $$ off will the employee purchase get me? what other options should I consider. (budget NO more than $ 1,800 MAX)

Suffice to say that EPP is about the best that can be done. Your LBS is treating you well by being willing to extend that offer to you.

They're not going to give you an employee purchase price unless you work there. and even if you do work there, you're still probably not going to get it unless you've been working there a while.
The EP price is a percentage off of wholesale, and it is done through the actual bike company, not the LBS. Your bike shop would actually be selling the bike for LESS than it cost them to buy, and thats just not gonna happen.
They might be giving you a good deal (10-20% off), but I wouldnt confuse that with an EP.
