Downhill At X Games Or Gravity Games Help!!!!!!
hey,
i need to find out opinios of you guys, do u think downhill should be at events like gravity games or x games? why? why not? give your opinions... also i you know about the history of thises tournaments please tell me why it hasnt been included yet...

Easy...it is not a good sport for tv. I love dh but I can't watch it in movies. They need to invest some serious coin into filming it. Cable cams, truck cams etc. The sit on a corned and film everybody go past SUCKS. They need to take a lesson from the guys who filmed the collective and figure out how to make dh look fast. Cause on television it sure makes even the fastest look slow.
It was a winter X I believe. 1 year of dh in the snow. Looked ghey and made us look like fools.

There was DH for 2 years during the Summer Xgames.

but common they also film those sledge things and downhill sk8...
also check out the braun cameras on the world cup at les gets and in fort williams they managed it pretty well and it wasnt so pricey... at least not that much for entities such as ESPN...

Yes...a well built bikercross course where the bigwheels are actually used to full speed would be great.
I didn't know about the summerX...wasn't into the sport back then.
Its not expense, it is return value. I don't think as a whole, dh can offer much visually on television to pay for itself.

they had downhill racing at the summer x games 2 years in a row at the begining of the x games life.. it was at mt. snow vermont i believe, they had a sick course with thes 2 huge bridges and 1 sick gnarly drop other than that it was balls out fast as you can down the course. the reason why they stopped dh racing in the x games was actually becasue too many racers the first year went to the hospitol because of 2 under bridge crossings were the racers we carryn to much speed into the trun to go under the bridge and they would slam into the side of the bridge at like 40mph so quite a few of them went to the hospitol. i think they should have a freeride comp in the x games though. that would be sick.. the more insane mountain biking thats happening right now and progressing forward they would be dumb not to think about it again... the downhill racing in the snow was lame they had missy giove there ryan white and ec and i think a few others but that was like what 3 years ago +.. mountain biking kinda went underground for the past 5 or so years cuz of too many people getting hurt and the race courses were pushing the riders harder and harder to go faster and faster bigger and bigger so more and more injuries occured
