Nerve pain (i think) on the bottom of my feet..
So the past week i've noticed a dull, burning, very annoying pain on the bottom of my feet (i was using cheap shimano SPD's at the time).. Since i was meaning to get some nicer shoes, i figured what better time than now, and bought a pair of Sidi Bullet 2's. But the pain is still there, and it really hurts. I'm not sure exactly how to get ride of this pain, whether it's to fine tune the cleat adjustment (which i've sort of been doing), or just let the foot rest for a week or two (don't prefer to do this considering the great weather we've had in northern virginia). But for the record i'm 19 years old. Below is a picture to show where exactly the pain is occuring.

Yo, stupid me.
Talked to one of my preceptors today, an MD, about your foot. He figured the burning indicated a nerve pinching. Looks like you were right. Should go away with the better shoes. If I were in your position I'd take 1 day off the bike then get right back to it unless the pain became unbearable.
Hope it clears up soon!

If it's a pinched nerve it could be in your lower back or your butt (psiatic nerve). Do you have any numbness on the inner or outer edge of your feet? Could be a seat problem or the way you sit on the bike.

I was going to say it might be hot spots.
But with the good shoes you have you shouldn't be getting hot spots.(hot spots are points of pressure on the bottom of the foot caused by the foot pushing down on the pedals. Can be quite painful)
Maybe you need orthopedics. Do you have flat feet? I know I need to have nice arches in my shoes when I ride or they hurt like crazy after about 20miles.
