mountain bike shoes for touring

For touring I'm looking at getting a pr of mountain bike shoes. I have a pr of inexpensive road shoes with SPD cleats. I used for a while. The "foot print" is too small and hurt the balls of my feet. I have a foot problem. The road shoes I use are Sidi with Look style 3 bolt cleats. I like them. I've noticed mountain shoes are 2 bolt. What do you suggest for shoes and pedals? Nashbar has some good bargins but if it isn't right it's not a bargin. Your opinions??
Thanks!!
