Should I trade my Jamis Dakota Elite for a Giant VT2?
Simple question, title says it. I have a trade offer from a guy, his full suspension for my hardtail. I've been wanting a full suspension bike to ride trails with some buddies. Thing is, I love my Jamis. It's light and fast and mechanically awesome, to me.
My bike is this frame built up with slightly better parts than the factory model had. It's a 4 year old build with new (at the time) parts on NOS frame. My fork is a Rockshox Recon.

The offer is to trade for this:
2003 Giant VT 2 - New and Used Bike Value
Near as I can tell the Giant is stock, and from the Craigslist photos, looks very clean for such an old bike. Anyways, thanks for any insight. Alternatively, I can keep my Jamis and just pay cash for the Giant. Can't have too many bikes, right?

No!
Suspension has improved greatly in the past 10 years. Keep your bike, given you love it. Save up, then buy a FS bike from within the past 5 years, the newer the better.
