shock trouble

When i bought my second had scott g-zero fx team it came with a risse racing genesis shock absorber. The problem i have with it is that the valve seems to be different to what i class as normal, as you can see from my attachment. Can anyone tell me what type of valve this is and if it is possible to buy an adapter that would fit it from my shock pump (i think is a Schrader valve same as inner tube valve)?

Very hard to tell from that pic. Almost looks like a recessed schrader valve which makes no sense since you have to get the nozzle over it. Good question.

Cheers

You are missing a piece. It should look like the one on the photo. Try and contact Risse (have fun with that) and see if they can send you the piece you need. They make a good shock but they used to be horrible with customer service.

What is the Eye to Eye length and stroke? What type of linkage does your frame have?

yeah its just missing the valve stem. My rock shox stem unscrews so you can squirt some oil in the shock. Looks like thae pervious owner forget to put it back in.
