Full suspension (FS) under $1000? No.

Look in the $500 MTB thread, that should have some good beginner Hard Tails.

(by the way, what kind of riding are you planning on doing with this new bike?)

Just about to say the same, for a good entry FS you need to go over 1000..I got an entry bike for 1200.Look to see if you can pick up last years model, you can save some mad cash.I saved somewherea around 400

Bikes: Yeti DJ Custom build. X.9, Marzocchi, RaceFace, Gamut, DT, Truvativ, Michelin, Hope.

Coming from BMX, you would probably like the Specialized P.2. They can be found for 800 I think. It is a street/dirt jump bike.

A Rockhopper may be a good bike for trail rides under 1K.

So far, from what I looked at I like the p.2. the best, but the cheaper the better. Im on a tight budget.

What about a GT Chucker 1.0 or 2.0. They seem like nice beginner bikes.

man, look in the freeride hardtails, all those bikes would be great for freestyle, and most should do just fine for mild trails. Just fine indeed.
