Lockout switch came off
Been classic & vintage for a while, put together road bikes and commuters for myself and friends. Completely new to mountain biking.
So I bought a new bike (Giant Talon 2 2018), but work and bike shop hours don't mix (I will definitely bring the bike back to the shop to take a look this weekend though, just asking while stuck at work). Last ride I clumsily reached down to lock the fork before a climb and the knob popped right off in my hand. This is a suntour XCM fork with HLO, and I've done plenty of googling to know they are not really that good, but its what I got. So I just pushed the knob right back on without thinking of the position, and at first it didnt lock no matter the position so I pulled it back off and turned it like 90* then put it back on. Seems to lock now, but just curious if there is any danger of having over opening (or over tightening) the hydraulic lockout? Try to keep the Suntour fork bashing to a minimum
thanks

If it works how I believe it does, it shouldn't be a problem. But you might call the shop or even Suntour and ask if you get a chance before the weekend. This is Suntour's sales number, but they might know the answer. (855) 205-2453 and check out this video.
