Replacement Specialized Tires

I have a 1995 Specialized Rockhopper Comp FS. The wheel is Specialized Z-23, the size is 26x1.50, the tire size is 26x1.95, Front tire is 26 x 1.95inch Specialized Shock Master, the Rear is 26 x 1.95inch Specialized More Extreme.

I was wondering if a 26x2.0 or 26.2.1 tire will fit my rim/wheel? It seems to get an aggressive replacement Specialized tire I have to up in size? I would like to stay with the Specialized name on the side of the tire?

First, thanks for the reply. I think the tire will clear in the back, but not sure about the front. Right now I have problems getting the front wheel off because of the width clearing the left brake pad.. How much clearance do I need to be safe? Even if I lower the air pressure for off road, (flex). What tires would you recommend and stay Specialized to try and keep it OEM?
The photo below is before I cleaned it up. Just out of the shed.

n0+4c u3,
Thanks again for your help. Even though I've had this bike sense new, it only has about 50 miles or less on it, and is my first mountain bike. I bought two bikes, one for me and one for my wife to haul behind my motorhome when going camping, but never happened. We road the bikes with another couple in Sacramento CA on the Sacramento bike trails, that's it. Then put both bikes in storage for approx 22+years.. Now I got the bug to ride again. Thanks again.

Wow. That bike looks pristine. I did not realize it was basically unused and completely original. Definitely try to keep it that way as much as you can.

Kapusta,
Thank you for the kind words. You should see it now after I wiped it down. In the photo the seat was lowered to store. I did have the bike store change the stem and handlebars before taking delivery, because of my back. I still have the originals (NEW). This bike really fits me perfectly.
What's up with this web site? I've tried to send replies and photos (which took me a long time and thought) and all three times the crashed/froze. And I lost all my info?
