1990 Bianchi Sika Rescue

I've always had a soft spot for celeste green Bianchi's. A friend of mine bought a celeste green road bike in the late 80s c/w super record and Gipiemme parts, it helped get me hooked on cycling and quality built bicycles.

Imagine my delight when I found a celeste green mountain bike in my summer place trailer park dumpster in Birch bay Washington:

A little worse for wear but pretty nice shape, I love the Richey logic frame tubing and fork, and the lugs are so cool. I decided to throw all of my lightest parts at it and build a lightweight old school machine. Complete build = 24.5lbs

It'll be for my wife if she likes the fit (still to be determined), if not I'll ride it, I bought a new seat, not from the period but very comfortable and classic shape for $40 used and $20 on cables. Have a look at the result:

Mission control period correct, very nice.
Does it say the country of origin?

Doesn't mention it but I read they were built by a Japanese outfit, it's high quality construction (I like the internal rack mounts on the seat stays, much cleaner)
