Bikes: Trek Bruiser 2

How much can i sell?

I have this trek bruiser 2 i bought about 1 month ago for $600 flat. used it once on a trail and daily on the street (for a little bit). I left everything the way it is, and everything runs like new, put new tires and innertubes on it.

Here are the photo's of the bike.

I'd say 400 might be the max you'd get out of it. One month of daily riding will depreciate (is that how it's said?) the price fast.

Yup, $400 sounds like a pretty reasonable price. Why would someone spend $500 on it when for $100 more they could get a new bike with a lifetime warranty?

For what it's worth, you may not even get $400 out of it. Bikes are probably the only thing that depriciates faster than cars.

I agree with lowcel on this one. My friend sold his trek 4300 two weeks or so after getting it and went from spending 350 to getting like 175 I think. Then again he is the kind of person who sold stuff really cheap just to get some quick money.
And the onlt thing I've ever seen lose value faster than bikes or cars are Remote control cars. Good ones though, not toy store brand.

Unless you sell it to someone stupid. I rode a stock Trek 4300 for 2 years, then it sat in my garage for a year, then I sold it for $80 dollars less than I bought it.

EBay is always the true test of an item's worth. Obviously you (or your friend) gotz mad photo skillz, so take some nice pictures of it and see what it'll get bid up to.

Better bet might be to part it out, if you're up for the trouble. A little more work, but guaranteed better return then selling a complete bike (so long as the components are decent and in nice shape).
