5 stupid stiches
Well i was riding with my friends, and there was this huge hill and at the end of it a ramp. So i went down third (out of my four friends) and i was wondering why they were goin slow, well... i was up and i went down it...faster than my friends, it was either the bike, or i pedaled 2 much..i couldnt use my brakes cuz then i would wipe out so i sped up until the ramp, i jumped it at the bottom and forgot 2 lean backwards. well i ended up on the ground looking at my knee,(2 CM's under my knee cap.) a woodem stick approximately 2 inches long and 1 cm wide jammed inside my leg. I pulled it out, with my friends watching. My bike was fine, i got 5 stiches, i cant move, and i have an infection, and had 2 get a butt shot, and if it doesnt heal they have 2 open it back up and let it flush.

Yikes! Sorry to hear it. Hope it heals quickly.
Too bad you didn't have a camera. Would have made a cool 'gnarly wound pic'.

I did a similar thing yesterday. Went over a jump without scouting the landing first, well, found out there was a big hole on the other side, and I had neither enough speed, nor had leaned back enough to clear it. Needless to say I endo'd big time. A couple of summer salts according to my brother (who of course did the jump flawlessly 30 seconds later to rub it in my face). I walked away alright but started getting sharp pains in my left shoulder every time I hit a root or rock on the rest of the ride. Today it seems to be getting better though so I'm hoping I didn't mess up anything in there.
Ironically, my dad had done the same thing off the same jump a few months earlier. Of course I wasn't there to see it, so I didn't learn. But I think that'll be the last time I do a blind-landing jump for a good while (at least untill my shoulder is better ).
