Which one of THESE three?
Remeber these prices are Canadian and I would was wanting to stay closest to the 1k mark and this is what I came up with:
Kona Cinder Cone - $975
Norco Charger - $1099
Giant Reinier - $1150
What would you pick and why?

Thats what I was thinking about, everyone I have talked to has pretty much told me that although I spoke to a guy that said the Norco bike has harder aluminum and is lighter which will cause for a better ride. Any comments on that guys?

THey are all nice bikes really. I like the cinder cone as well. It seems to even have a few better parts and is the cheapest. But it really comes down to when they are that close in price is which one you like better when you ride them. I think you;re getting a good bike whichever you choose though.

I got a Rainier about a month and a half ago. After 1400km of riding to work, school, etc. it has been awesome. The frame is solid but I'm only 135lbs. It has SRAM triggers, a Deore FD and a SRAM X7 RD which work brilliantly. Shifts are very smooth especially on the rear where sometimes I can't even feel the shifts. The hayes sole hydraulic brakes are very powerful as well.
When I was looking for a bike the salesman at the LBS showed me the Rainier, a Trek and a Cannondale ( I can't remember the models). I first tried the c'dale and trek but both were uncomfortable. I tried the Rainier and it was almost perfect. All I can say is that the Rainier is a very good bike but if it isn't comfortable for you then look somewhere else.
