Trek Marlin 5 stem help
Just bought a Marlin 5, need to bring the bars back a bit towards me. I’m 64 and the stock lean forward is not very comfortable. What can I get off Amazon that will do the trick. Looking for something about 90mm in length. The shop didn’t have a short enough one and was having issues sourcing something.
thanks.
thanks.

Your local shop will have the stem and this is not mountain biking question. I would not reccomend any sort of adjustable stem for actual off road riding I would get a proper fit and get the correct stem.

An adjustable stem...nearly every bike shop should either have one in stock or easily get one...will likely be best suited to your needs.
If Amazon is your only alternative just search for 'adjustable bike stem'.

Adjustable stems are a dime a dozen (and worth less). Amazon has a plethora of 90 mm stems for $20 or so. However, it seems to me the Marlin would have a stem around 90 mm (you didn't mention the size of the bike); have you measured the stem on your bike(or is the length noted)?

Stems also come with different rises. If you have a six or seven degree stem, you can get a stem with 17 degrees rise which may help more than just shortening the stem.
