Great bike, I had considered getting one but they ran out of the color I had wanted at the time so went with a titanium frame instead. I think it is a great little XC frame and would happily own one if I needed another hardtail. Go for it.

My Chisel HT is 6 years old now. It’s an aluminum Comp model that I upgraded with an XT DI2 11 spd system, when that stuff was on a great sale. I also put some Race Face carbon wheels on it a few years ago, so it accelerates very nicely now. One of my first impressions was it climbs remarkably well, like a scalded cat is a term I’ve heard. Just stays glued to the dirt and up it goes. I assume that’s the geometry. It’s been a good bike that I alternate with an Epic Evo.

The Chisel is very tempting definitely a finalist. The Kona Unit X I like too for a rigid ride with 2.6 tires. Was looking at gravel bikes but been there done that going back to the MTB.
