for a while & sometimes still do some 4wd exploring my an auto. there was a state forest near me that used to allow that but then closed the trails due to dirt bikes making new trails & not respecting the land. I now ride those trails on an MTB & it's pretty fun. can't go as far or as fat but I can still get into the forest. better for my health too!
