My trip to blue mountain..

..was AWESOME!!! I wish I had gone there sooner! The trails are amazing..of course I only did the blue squares and black diamond runs (double black diamond runs are suicide). At the top of Embryo there was some pretty sweet dirt jumps (doubles, table tops and one 15 footer or so), but I landed bad on the 15 footer and now have some pretty nasty gashes on my left arm (covered in bandages,); I had to take an hour break before I could go back out on the slopes and I got to meet a medic personal . After I was out of the medic area we went to the restaurant,(they have good food), before heading back out. We did all the blue sqaures pretty easily and hit up some of the black diamond runs (o-chute, r shore and showcase). I can't belive some of the stuff that the double black diamond has! It's insane...at the start of one was a complete shear rocky drop to almost flat! (some tranny). Almost everyone up there was riding full-suspension: stinkys, demos, a-line (rental), bighits or sinister R9s. Hardtails were hard to find around there (unless they were doing the XC). Full-suspension bikes would really come in handy over the rocks and roots or drops but other than that a hardtail works fine.

So if you're going there for the DH, I suggest wearing armour (shinpads and arm pads should do), fullface is good but a skate helmet with goggles does just fine.

Good. I plan to go there soon. I don't do dirt jumps anymore though, I'm not very good with them at all.
