Identifying an old Rockhopper

My neighbor gave me an old Rockhopper, and I'm trying to identify it. When I got an old Trek I was able to search to find the info, but it doesn't seem to be as openly available for Specialized.

It's a girls frame, steel, solid pink-ish color, 24" wheels. Serial # S4G02440. All brake, deraileur and wheel components are labeled "Shimano MJII". I have never heard of the MJII, I'm hoping it isn't a Wally-world bike. I didn't think Specialized did the Wal-mart thing.

TIA.
