To start I'll say it's the best riding weekend ever. Weather was perfect around 70 day time and upper 40's at night. The camp was awsome we met up with 3 guys from Atlanta and they rode with us as well. We had a group of 7 on sat and 8 on sun. I cant start to tell you how FUN this weekend was. The folks we camped with and the riding were unbelievable. Gastro, Karldar, some locals, and some canines made up a killer weekend. If you could've made it but didnt come you should be kickin yourself in the buttox. I'll put up pics, but they dont do justice to the weekend. We even kept a chair open for drunken chicken, and that was his spot. Gastro and Karldar are some of the funnest people to hang out with ever. We laughed till our sides hurt sitting around the camp fire. We're already talkin bout doing another one next year, and makin it 4 days. We'll plan it and I'll post dates in the spring, so I dont wanna hear excuses from anybody. We had riders of all abilities but I'll say that Gastro can rip it, and Karldar is one of the smoothest guys I've got to ride with. Fun,perfect,awsome,killer...........we'll you get the idea!
Gastro killin' it on longbranch

karldar,smoothing out the rocks

Chillin in Pisgah

In Dupont at Bridal Veil Falls(look at the sky,it was that kind of weekend)

Gastro and the boy,Parking lot Posers

Jake trying to stay dry,he didn't

The Hillbilly Hilton

When it was all over we were all smiles, thats what this trip was about. Leave your attitudes at home and just have fun. Jake,Gastro,Mtnbiker66 and Karldar.

I'm sure there will be more pics from and info from Gastro and Karldar.

Okay, here's some more. It's really a shame I don't know how to take good pictures.
This was the best trail riding of this season for me, top 5 all-time.
Karldar through some tight stuff on Butter Gap:

Oh yes, there was climbing. Mtnbiker66 nonchalantly bounds up the mountain:

Karldar with the diesels hammering:

Mtnbiker66:

Gratuitious blood and gore due to a manufacturing defect in a tire lever (or was it a nunchuck fight? No one's talking):

Uh oh. He shows great leaps in ability, inquires about suspension design and technology, and now he joins an online cycling community. Got him, hook, line, and sinker.
Just be careful Hambone40, it's a slippery slope.

Worse is running over big fat slugs. Really sticky stuff to clean off the bike.
A little on the pads is good for trials though, like tar.
Northshore tip.
