I find that I get really timid when the rocks get wet and slick:lol:

Is that an effect or is that just how a moving light looks in a night time pic?

Short ride tonight, just 10 miles...My partners hybrid bike with performance road slick tires was sliding all over the place...It was also her first winter ride ever.

OK - - let's have the rest of the story. Prototype what? ST>TT brace looks like ASR 5 or 575. It's 26" wheels, so no FS 29er. Hmmmm?

mechBgon 12-18-11 07:57 PM

Three buddies and I did about 20 miles in Riverside, through the Deep Creek canyon, down Tour de Moon, and on out to Stick In The Eye, then burned for home as daylight disappeared under an ominous dark cloud bank (oh, is Mordor over there in Airway Heights, then...? I had no idea!). Along the way, we found KBP's parked Corrola at the horse stables and left him a PowerBar and some pizza crusts :D

So anyway, ~3hrs riding. Oh, and with four of us, we managed to move a downed tree off Stick In The Eye, since it had broken clean off its stump.

Good to hear KBP is around - - wondered what became of him. Need to hit you up for one of your DVDs (Eric mentioned a few months ago you were making it available). Will PM you or maybe drop by the shop. Good to see you posting again.

I also enjoyed that amazing weather. Spent the majority of the day there at Palmer Park. In fact, I think I saw your group....on templeton trail I believe. I was rocking my On-one 456 hardtail. Either way, it was an amazing day of riding!

Thanks! I'm making improved versions of the DVDs, using software that has an image stabilization feature, so I'll make you the "2.0" versions. I can also make them in both high-definition Blu-Ray and regular-definition DVD now... do you happen to have a Blu-Ray player?

Should have those ready by the weekend, either way.

Wow, thanks! No Blu-Ray yet and when I do, the standard one will revert to trainer duties; so regular-def DVD will be just fine.

Tonight I went with the Spokane Rocket Velo guys on the Tuesday Night Ride. We rode Beacon, 10 riders. It began to snow lightly, but it was frozen solid underneath and traction was fine. One guy had a moderate mishap but carried on, sounds like he'll need a wheel true. I'm still packing some extra fat but I think I'm getting fitter again.

Highlight of the ride: heading back, the red aircraft-warning lights were beaming through fog up above us. It looked like Mordor or some sort of evil stronghold up there :D
