changing marzocchi fork travel

I just got some Dirt Jumper 2 forks and don't like or need 5 inches of travel.

has anyone changed the amount of travel on these forks?

I thought that I needed new springs but I was just told by a LBS that I need to remove some spacers at the bottom of the forks.

I downloaded the PDF from the marzocchi web site but it isn't really clear on this precedure.

thanks

I am not sure how to do it. Your best bet is to call them and ask directly or email them. I have found them to be very helpful in the past.

I believe 2001 oem dj2's could not be adjusted but I could be wrong.

I called all the dealers in my area listed on their website.

I got ALOT of different answers ranging from you can't do it to it's gonna cost over $200.00 to I don't have to buy anything just open the forks and remove some parts.

So I wrote to the company.

I'll keep y'all informed as to what they tell me.
