Post mount question

I just got a new fork that has post type disk brake mounts. I will be running a Hayes EC brake with an 8" rotor. Does anyone know if I'll need an adapter to make this work?

Thanks.

True enough.

For those that don't know and want to know the reason, the post mounts are designed to mount a caliper in the proper position for a 6" rotor. If you want to use a 7" or 8" rotor, the caliper needs to be farther from the axle to account for the larger radius of the rotor, hence the adapter.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Not sure it's warranted.

But, I do usually do my homework, and research reveals that it was kind of a trick question - if the fork was a Monster or Super Monster (which it's not, but I'm sure you knew that, too) it would be a direct mount. As it stands, I need the adapter.
